Stomach Cancer UK is a newly launched charity, and we are building our online community step by step. When support groups and events are ready to book, you’ll find them here, on our homepage and news pages. We will also share updates through our Facebook page and our newsletter.
Online support groups
As our community grows, we will offer monthly peer support groups on Zoom for patients, survivors, family members and caregivers. Each group will be moderated to ensure a supportive and safe space.
Booking will be free and managed through Eventbrite.
We are developing several support groups, including:
- General stomach cancer support
- Living with stage IV stomach cancer
- Family and caregivers
- Life after gastrectomy
If you have an idea for a group or would like to join one, please get in touch.
Events
We are planning a series of online events on Zoom, open to patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, researchers and journalists. These sessions will help you stay informed about developments in treatment and care.
Event formats will include webinars, ‘meet the expert’ sessions, and Q&As with leading oncologists and surgeons in the UK and, at times, further afield.
Topics we expect to cover include:
- Biomarkers and new treatments
- Understanding immunotherapy
- Nutrition without a stomach
- Surgery for stage IV
Registration will be free and managed through Eventbrite.
